I am going through an exercise called "Prompts for your first 30 Days of Prayer Journaling". Today I was prompted to respond to Psalm 37:16 which says
"Better is the little of the righteous
than the abundance of many wicked."
This is what I think of when I read the word
"Better is the little of the righteous
than the abundance of many wicked."
This is what I think of when I read the word
Contentment
Satisfied, submissive to where you are and what you have, and the situation in which you find yourself.
Looking at previous verses in Psalm 37 can be a way we can help keep contentment in our lives
Verses 1- 5
Do not fret because of evildoers,
Be not envious toward wrongdoers.
2 For they will wither quickly like the grass
And fade like the green herb.
3 Trust in the Lord and do good;
Dwell in the land and cultivate faithfulness.
4 Delight yourself in the Lord;
And He will give you the desires of your heart.
5 Commit your way to the Lord,
Trust also in Him, and He will do it. NASB

My prayer is to be satisfied and submissive to where I am and what I have, and most of all satisfied with the situation in which I find myself.
